About Me

Hi there! I'm Josh, and I moved to Vancouver around 5 years ago to attend UBC. This past year in 2024, I received my BSc (Hons) in Environmental Sciences. Since then I have continued to develop my undergraduate thesis project, which covers topics of competitive coexistence, character displacement, and coevolution. In addition, I have been actively modelling the geographical patterns of global bird biodiversity change.

I am particularly interested in exploring the ecological consequences of climate change and other human-induced pressures on Earth’s biodiversity. I plan to delve deeper into these topics during my MSc at UBC, utilizing interdisciplinary approaches with the Moore Inclusive Conservation Lab. Upon graduation, I hope to pursue a career where I can inform conservation efforts concerning species at risk of extinction.

When I'm not studying or working, you can find me hiking, birdwatching, or experimenting with new plant-based recipes. Feel free to reach out to connect or check out my latest projects!
